It's finally here. The website will go online in a few days and I can take you along on my adventure as an entrepreneur. I have tried vlogging but that's just not for me. I would have to leave out too much of my private life. That would not give a realistic picture of me as an entrepreneur, employee and most importantly my role as a mother. This month of December has gone by quickly. Time always flies when you're busy. It was all about preparations for our first trade fair, preparing photo shoots, my work at UWV and arranging everything for the launch of our website.

Unfortunately, I can't say much about my work at UWV. I work 24 hours a week with a lot of passion. I can't let go of this somehow because I enjoy it so much. This is partly due to the substantive work and partly due to my great colleagues. But anyway, where was I? This month I have been very busy with choices about how we want to position ourselves as a bridal shop in the future. Which colours do you choose for your website, which photos are you going to use, what do you want to radiate? All kinds of things that I have recently been busy with with the media agency that helps us with this. Because we were going to attend a trade fair, we bought trade fair walls and had them made to measure and according to taste. Unfortunately, the trade fair in Antwerp did not go as we had wanted. But hey, there's a first time for everything. We can also reuse the trade fair walls in the future if we ever decide to attend somewhere again.

Another thing we have been busy with in December is putting together our 2020 collection. Our 2020 collection will arrive in full in January. But don't worry, there is already quite a bit hanging there. I can now speak of a buying addiction. If I like something, I want to have it for my future customers. I think that is also one of my strengths. Entrepreneurship from the heart. Not without strategy of course. You always have to have that. Without strategy you are nowhere. So I can report that we are currently working on something that is incredibly exciting . It is still a Big Secret , but as soon as I can tell you more, I will do so immediately.

I have combined my entrepreneurship with motherhood from the start. When motherhood and entrepreneurship run parallel, it brings many challenges. I can even remember that I was busy calling and ordering during my confinement. Some things cannot be put on hold or outsourced. At the moment, my children are a bit older (6) (4) and (2) and this brings more peace in the house. I usually do business from home and have my kids around me. This is at least a challenge, but workable for me.

In this blog I will make room together with Safae, our communication officer, to talk about entrepreneurship, bridal fashion and new events. So stay tuned.
